Yoga at Home: Create Your Own Sanctuary

Woman practicing yoga at home in a bright living space

A home practice gives you freedom, privacy and the flexibility to practise at your perfect time. All you need is a little space and a little structure.

Setting Up Your Space

  • Choose a quiet corner with enough room to stretch out
  • Use a non-slip mat or towel
  • Have a blanket and cushion nearby for comfort
  • Soft lighting and, if you like, calming music
  • Keep props simple: a strap, block and water bottle

Building a Simple Routine

Start with 15–20 minutes: a short warm-up, a few sun salutations, two or three standing poses, a stretch and two minutes of relaxation. Consistency matters far more than duration.

Staying Motivated

  • Practise at the same time each day
  • Follow a live online class for structure
  • Keep your mat visible as a reminder
  • Track your practice — even a simple streak helps

Our live online classes bring the studio to your living room, with real-time instructor feedback.
